We love this place for tons of reasons...the food is fresh, with lots of flavor. The owner, chef and staff are very sweet, friendly and work hard to make your meal memorable. I love to support local business and this one is easy to recommend! They will adjust any menu item so it's prepared to your liking (we always ask for our pork to be extra crispy, and it's done perfectly)...there's tons of dishes to choose from...we like V14 the most...and the mango salad is yummy...tons of mango and enough to share...
I had a craving for pho and this certainly did the trick. The staff were friendly and the restaurant is nicely decorated. The portion sizes are generous as well.
My only complaint is they need better take-away containers for pho. The soup container is only the size of the broth (for a large order) and you have to add the noodles a bit at a time.
I am a regular. Love it. I took 2 friends there for lunch (they had never been to a vietnamese resto before) and the loved it too! Check it out for a fast fresh inexpensive healthy meal!
This is the best Pho restaurant in the Hamilton/Ancaster area. I am Vietnamese and I have been to almost every Pho restaurant in the GTA area. The first time I came, I had the pho which was really delicious. Usually I cannot finish an entire pho bowl myself, but this time I was able to since it was really good. My sister is a vegetarian and she is really amazed by their vegetarian selection. I came here a total of four times, I have to say that I am always amazed by how good their food is and I am always craving it afterwards!
If you are in the McMaster region (avoid Saigon Asian Pho resturaunt in the Westdae region), take the 5C bus up there! The bus ride is only 20 minutes.
This was a below average visit to a Pho restaurant. My friends and I have eaten at many Pho restaurants. I absolutely love Pho restaurants because in the end, both my stomach and my wallet are happy. But at Royal Pho, neither were satisfied. I went on a saturday night and only two other tables were filled, both containing couples. The service was decent but the food wasn't up to par. The meat in the noodle soups didn't seem fresh, the seafood had a weird taste to it and the pad thai's didn't taste authentic. However, the spring rolls were pretty good and the portions were filling (but all pho restaurants usually are). The prices were relatively higher than the other pho's around the hamilton area. Overall, I'll probably just stick to Pho Binh Minh or Pho Dau Bo.
