I have been here a few times. It definitely is not like home cooked meal that I would do. It’s ok if you would serve your company instant potatoes, frozen vegetables cooked to mush. But today was a total turn off. My meal was simple enough. I ordered Caesar salad, easy enough but after a few forkfuls I kept getting a gritty crunch. I ordered cabbage rolls, the same thing, it was almost like sand. And the tomato sauce was tinny and the rice wasn’t cooked and no taste. Not going back again.

Delicious homemade food.. huge portions.. love the fries and gravy. Roast beef meal is great for 2 people. Very reasonably priced. Going to get myself a 1/4 chicken and 1/4 rib meal right now mmmmm

Meh, I don't think it's anything to write home about. To say it's the best place to eat in Keswick may be true since there really isn't anywhere decent to eat in this town to begin with. I've moved to Keswick recently from Markham and am accustom to a much more diverse variety in food and find this type of cuisine mediocre. I wasnt having a bad afternoon when i ate at sammy's i just have higher standards. I would not classify this restaurant as middle eastern. Nothing special.

I agree with mimz. The meals are homemade amazingness and if anyone says different, they probably only ate there once and had a grumpy evening. There's no meals that are very much more or less than $10 and the portions are huge. For family take-out there's no real better option in town. The ribs are delicious and the potatoes and vegies are always good.

In response to the previous review; I just wanted to update all, six months ago I posted a review on this restaurant.. My review at that time was based on what I saw (not what I thought), and I stand behind my first review to this day. I do NOT own or operate a restaurant, and am in no way affiliated with Sammy's or any of their staff. That being said, You have to ask yourself...... What do I possibly have to gain , by writting a negative review about Sammy's????? The answer of course.............. IS ...... Nothing. As for Mimz35 statement that I'll go eat at Sammy's again............ Well the chances of that ever happening, are not even slim. We live in a world that is all about freedom of choice, and if I offended you Mimz35 then I apoligize for that. Enjoy your dining , wherever you choose to.

After reading the previous comment I was not able to keep quiet any longer. I have been a VERY satisified customer of Sammy's for 15 years (since the family owned and operated the buffet location). I think if your going to make coments of this magnitude you should base it on more than SPECULATION and ASSUMPTION. If I were you I would not worry about Sammy's inspections as I am sure they get regular inspections as every ligitimate restaurant does. In fact, last I heard these same public health inspectors were asking Sammy's to cater to their events. I would say that speaks for itself, dont you? Next time, instead of bashing someone on the internet, based on fabrication, why dont you bring your concern to the owner. Maybe you could do that next time, because i'm sure despite all this you will go back there to eat.

Sammy's is one of Keswick's best restaurants. The food is just like mom used to make and the portion sizes are ample. There's no lack of flavour and the specials are always delicious. You'll never eat another 1/4 pounder after experiencing one of Sammy's cheeseburgers!

We have eaten at Sammy's since the orginal...

We have eaten at Sammy's since the orginal Sammy's Buffet. This time it was for a gathering of 16 at a Birthday Party We have never been disappointed. Sometimes takes a little while for your order but everything is made fresh, so I'm willing to wait! We have dined in and taken out and the quality is always #1. Sammy's is the ONLY place I would buy ribs.

We ordered take out (which we do 2-3 times per month). Huge portions. Very fast service. Very reasonable prices. Excellent A++ ribs. If you like ribs, these are the best. They have a small chaotic seating area (suggest that you get take out), makes me long for the days when this family owned Sammy's Buffet.

Food was good, great value. Portions were much larger and cost less than similar restaurants in Toronto. I will visit again.
