We were served by Angus. Very friendly and gave us a lot of toruistic information on Collingwood and Blue Mountain. Food was amazing, husband had fish n chips and I chose the Thai prawn curry, dishes looked impeccable and the taste stood up to the looks. If we came again would definitely pay Kelsey’s a visit.
Ordered the beet and goat cheese salad and for 15.00 it was a massive waste of money. Had to stop at another restaurant to get something to fill me up. Poor selection of draught beers as well which may explain why the other restaurants in the city had a wait time
As a local i was very disappointed with the service tonigjt. Our order took 40min to arrive and it wasn't hot. My salad was limp, dry over cooked salmon. Ive been here before with godd service. The manager told us its best if we didnt come back until after january 5th....? We were given 2 free desserts from 4 meals. I felt the worse because my parents were disappointed.
Last night I was out for supper with my daughter and her boyfriend and our server was amazing. Our waitress was on the ball and even when I hesitated about what I was ordering was very informative and suggested an alternative that was exactly what I wanted. She topped our drinks up and could not be more friendly. I then unfortunately had a reaction to the food as I have an undiagnosed food allergy. Our waitress was on the ball and got the rest of our meals packaged up and the bill right away. She even took my meal off the bill which was appreciated even though I am not certain what the allergy was I would not be able to finish. I unfortunately left before getting her name, but she has definitely earned our business and Kelsey's should be very proud of what amazing staff they have.
I hosted a party at Kelseys a few nights ago. Someone bought me a gift card so i thought i would use it. The place itself is really nice. Probably the nicest Kelseys I have been in. A multi levelled building with some nive brick work inside and out. The service was great. Our waitress was an older lady with a great sense of humour who really took care of us all night. App's were stellar for lame old chains such as kelseys.....boston pizza etc.... My main course was under cooked and sloppy. The home made potato chips that came with it were hardly home made. They were obviously made then put away...and then microwaved for my order (not kewl) My steak was not cooked to my choice (medium/well) It was rare/blue..bloody awful would i go back? only if someone were to get me a gift card. I would never spend my money on a place like this.
Reserved for a soccer team event ... First bite of food arrived 90 minutes after we sat down. If you are a soccer/hockey/baseball team avoid Kelseys unless you take pleasure watching your kids pass out from hunger. The waitresses were not the problem ... If you ordered a coke/beer it would arrive in 1 min. The problem is the kitchen/management ... Actually never saw a manager even though we were a group of 42. You'd think a manager on a Friday night would stick his/her head out to make sure all is OK?
Slowest food service ever ... If you are a soccer/hockey/baseball team avoid at all costs.
I love Kelsey's and so do my kids (teens), my husband isn't that thrilled but he does love the Nachos and wings. This location is great and I go often and I must say that when it was closed for reno's I truly missed it.
Came in with my buddies after golf and was told about the all you can eat wing special. We didn't even know about it when we came in and already thought we would have some wings and beer. Our server was great and funny. She made sure we ordered lots of wings and suggested trying different sauces with each refill. We sure got our fill of wings that night!! The wings were 15.99 and even the pitchers of beer were on sale too. Our server was very attentive and even divided up our bill for us without even having to be asked. We will be back next time we are in Collingwood.
Kelseys was a great experience! Our food was absolutly amazing. No problems and absolutly no complaints! The servers were friendly and outgoing and made sure we were well looked after! The food was delishes with healthy portion sizes! We will absolutly be returning for more!!
We met some old friends here, and enjoyed some good drinks, good appetizers, good company, and great friendly service. We had a few requests and all were met!! Thanks for the good time!! We will be back...
We had gone to Kelsey's prior to their renovation. On that occasion I had ordered a pasta Alfredo dish that was on the turn, it caused me to projectile vomit. After informing them of it the manager sent me coupons for another visit. Well each time we tried to go there it was closed for renovation. Finally we had occasion to be in Collingwood and decided to use the coupons. Big mistake! I ordered a beef dip sandwich; it did not come with au jus if you can believe that but with a gravy. I think it was a prepackaged brown mix that only resembled gravy in appearance. It was not at all tasty. My husband's sandwich wrap was only so-so. The salad was okay, nothing special, the raspberry dressing was nice. We had a hard time climbing the stairs to enter the restaurant and once inside were not impressed with the decor. This restaurant was so noisy that we could not hear each other talk. Between that and the lousy food we were not impressed. We won't be back.
I ordered many chicken sonoma salads, lunch size pastas and sandwiches off the lunch menu. The bartender that took my order was friendly and genuine. Every request I had for the 15 meals was accommodated. All salads had the dressing on the side as I requested, the garlic bread was in a separate section of the container so it didn't get soggy on the pasta and the pickles were even in a baggy so they didn't soak into the bread of the sandwiches. It's this attention to detail that shows they want you to also enjoy your take-out meal. All cutlery and condiments were in the bag. The bartender even helped carry everything out to the car with me. Nice service and we had a nice working lunch at the office.
This is the second Kelsey's I have had to send a steak back, I ordered Medium rare and it was blue. The place was very roomy , no crowding and considering the hard floors and walls the ambient noise level was quite low 2 meals drinks and tip $45.00
This was by far the best dining experience while we vacationed in Collingwood. We tried the server's suggestion of zucchini with a garlic-lemon ranch dip, and it was soooo tasty!! The fish and chips was coated with a Rickard's Red beer batter, and it was light and flaky and delicious. The burger was thick and juicy, and frankly just one of the best burgers I have tasted!! We finished with one of the new mini desserts, the cheesecake mousse, and to my delight, it tasted like my mother's homemade cheesecake. What a great dining experience!!! Kelsey's in Collingwood is THE place to dine, the whole package!! No wonder it was packed!!
Both salads were prettier than the pictures in the menu and tasted fresh and delicious. The wontons were hot and had a nice sweet thai dipping sauce. The service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant looked lovely with all the historical pictures of Collingwood up on all the walls. Ted and I always dine at this Kelsey's when we are in town.
The burgers are really one of the best I've tried. My friend said the ribs were tender but a bit too much sauce on the wings. Portions are plentiful and the food was hot and had good flavour. Our server was always smiling even though you could see how busy the restaurant was. Food came out quickly considering every seat around us was occupied. We will gladly return again to this Kelsey's.
I would like to say that this is without a doubt the best restaurant in the area, mainly because of there long time and knowledgeable staff, the new store looks fantastic, though some pictures on the wall would be nice. Our server Curtis was great, He was friendly and very accomodating of all of modifications. Food was delivered in moderate time and was delicious ( if you have never had the pizza, you should get it).
This place is newly renovated due to water damage. We had a table on the lower left side, with tile floors and wooden walls, this is the noisiest restaurant I have been in. Room was full of hockey teams and lots of kids. Could not carry on converstation at our table. Left with a headache that ruined my weekend.
Food was hot and yummy Server was supper nice and attentive Loved the new look. Very fresh and clean looking. It looks brighter inside. Great old building... glad they re-opened finally. Will definitely go back again.
