Never ever use this company. Arranged a-move from Calgary to Kelowna way in advance. 8pm the night before the set date they cancelled on us. We had to fly a friend from Vancouver rent a uhaul and do the move ourself - 4 seniors - and then when I got back to Kelowna I asked to speak to an owner but was told that there where many owners- and that she could not give me a name- does anyone know an owner of this horrible company? The stress was overwhelming -

I used this company 3 wks ago... Never again!! They were terrible... Do not use this Company!! So many bad reviews on them. Paid 3000. My son and I ended up unloading 1/2 the truck cause one of the guys couldnt lift anything heavy. What a joke. Do they not screen whom they hire?? Guess not. Beware!!

In February we used this company to move us from Edmonton to BC. When they finally arrived to load us up, we were so worried that our building was going to force us to re-book as we could only reserve the elevator for 4 hours to move out and they were 2 hours late. Luckily we had no issue with building management. However, we did not ask for the extra insurance because of the delay and worry. No one from That Guy Van Lines made any suggestion or reminder that it was available. BIG mistake!

These people were efficient caring and considerate, up to a certain point, however after they left with a $120 tip, we noticed they had broken the TV stand/fireplace badly beyond repair, and then taped it up to hide it so we wouldn't notice. I tried to claim it, only $100 for a $950 piece and they denied it saying we declined insurance. We were never offered it. Sad way to treat a good customer who would have recommended you highly. People talk! Soon you'll require a license, that'll end TGVL!

Movers showed up ...

Movers showed up on time, but took a LONG time to pack us up. We were anticipating half the number of hours, but OK. One of the guys smoked in the back of the van while some of our stuff was in there, not super cool. Tossing boxes marked fragile, breaking ceramic bottle inside. But mostly, they broke a dresser drawer and told me the claim would be handled right away. 1 month later, no claim so I created one. 6 months later, no word back. Do not use unless willing to have bad service.

Just did a move from armstrong to vernon under tight time limits. The guys were careful and efficient and the move was well within our budget.

Worst experience ...

Worst experience ever. I would give them ZERO stars as their rating. The movers and manager are extremely unprofessional. The motto of their company is that the consumer is always wrong. The owner has Amateur movers ( young kids) working for her who were slow, incompetent, damaged belongings and couldn't complete move on time. Will never ever ever hire them again.

I used That Guy V...

I used That Guy Vanlines for our recent move and have to say they did an excellent job. The movers were great and careful, the office staff was friendly, and the price was awesome. They really do have no hidden fees as they say. Would recommend these movers to anyone I know. Thanks again!

We hired this mov...

We hired this moving company end of July for a local move from Vernon to West Kelowna. They were ontime and very professional. We had two trucks and 4 guys. It was a big move and we were happy with their service. I would certainly recommend them!
