I cannot say enough good about Amherst. The staff is incredibly kind and highly professional. Our little dog, Casey, received the most gentle treatment and plenty of treats. When she became sick with mitral valve disease, Dr. Wark was always available and diligently cared for her. Casey did die, but, we are so thankful that her last months were filled with love. Amherst was a great support and continues to be as we nurse our 18 year old cat, Tiger, through her golden years. Dr. Yuen is making sure that Tiger enjoys every one of her nine lives. There have been several times where my heart was broken and I thought it was the end, but, through highly capable diagnosis, we still have our little girl. I can call anytime and come dashing in a minute before closing and I am always greeted by the kindest front end staff I could ever hope for. Amherst has been a part of our family for so many years and I could not be more grateful for the journey we have been privileged to share with this top-rate veterinary clinic.

The Vet and staff of this Animal Clinic is phenomenal. My boy was sick and finally lost his battle. It was traumatic for me but the Vet and her staff called me to check up on my fur baby even through the holidays. They treated him and myself so tenderly and compassionately.
I highly recommend them in caring for your fur babies needs and care. Thank you so much Doctor and the staff...I shall never forget your kindness through such a traumatic time!

I have just rescued a Cat. Did a health check with Dr. Childs. My Cat's teeth were in bad shape and there were stones in her bladder. Scheduled for surgery and everything went fine.
Dr. Child and her staff are caring and kind. I would recommend this office to anyone for excellent care for their pets.

People who know me know that I am not big on "conventional" medicine (prefer homeopathics, no vaccinations, raw feeding), so if I can recommend Yaletown Pet Hospital - they must be amazing to impress me. I do not "trust" easily, but after our appointment with Dr. Vandermeer, I felt confident in her abilities and her genuine love and compassion for animals. The vet tech who assisted, Amber Lloyd, is simply the kindest, sweetest person you will ever meet and she watched over Minnie like a hawk! I booked the appointment for dental surgery for the next day. When I picked up Minnie, they took time to review how everything went and exactly what was done and scheduled a followup appointment. Minnie's recovery was very fast and by that evening, she was eating and back to her crazy, loveable self. I was very, very pleased to say the least. So, if you are looking for a really great vet clinic, I highly recommend Yaletown Pet Hospital. When you book your appointment, tell them Minnie sent you!
